50th Reunion Fund

Pete Hagerman & Joe Celauro, Co-Chairmen

The 50th Reunion Fund includes ALL gifts made to Lehigh to the Lehigh Fund (Annual Fund), to endowment or to building campaigns between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2011 plus pledges made during this period for payment in the five year period ending on June 30, 2016. Unrestricted Lehigh Fund Gifts are used for scholarships. Restricted Lehigh Fund gifts can be made to Athletics Partnership, Zoellner Arts Center, fraternity program and education funds, etc.

Most of us are accustomed to making gifts to the Lehigh Fund. However, for the 50th reunion, any deferred gift including planned bequests, charitable annuities and trusts made at any time during the donor’s life and reported to Karla Morales in the Lehigh Development Office (kam4@lehigh.edu or (610) 758-5958) are included in our class’s 50th reunion gift total.

The class of 1961 has several endowments which are discussed in other sections of the web site and those accounts would benefit from your gift.  If you want to establish a personal legacy with a substantial gift as a number of our classmates have done, that is always welcome and the web site has additional information on this possibility.

Methods of giving include cash, appreciated securities, life insurance policies, etc. Please consider making a multiple year pledge.  Since required minimum distributions from IRA’s, 401k’s and other qualified investments will commence soon, please consider sharing those distributions with Lehigh with the benefit of a tax deduction.

Questions? Contact Pete (973-696-4466),  Joe (609-448-5781) or Karla Morales (610) 758-5958)  in the Development Office. All will be happy to get you answers to any questions.
