Bequests and Deferred Giving

As we enter our 80th decade, we suggest that you consider making Lehigh University a beneficiary in your will or trust agreement. Once spouses and those of important need are taken care of, this is a fine way to remember our Alma Mater–without affecting your everyday needs while living. A bequest intention is an opportune way to support Lehigh University when current funds do not allow it.

The class has set a target of 61 members in the Tower Society by our 50th Reunion. Currently, we have 31 members, so you see that we have a ways to go before reaching our goal.
Other deferred giving options include charitable trusts and annuities. Lehigh can arrange these instruments, which provide you an immediate tax benefit, lifetime income and a gift to Lehigh upon your death and/or a beneficiary’s death.

If you have any questions on these giving opportunities, contact Karla Morales (610-758-5958 or kam4@lehigh.edu) for further information. And by all means let her know if you have already included Lehigh in your will or you wish to make a bequest intention.
