Emma Neary ‘22

Major: Economics
Woman’s Rugby Treasurer, Eco-Reps Coordinator, Macy’s Internship

What are you looking forward to this year?

I am looking forward to in-person classes and extracurriculars! I play women’s rugby, and we were not able to compete last year due to COVID-19. The friends that I have made through playing sports at Lehigh are like family to me! As a senior, I cannot wait to spend my last year at Lehigh interacting in-person with all the great faculty and friends that I have had the pleasure of meeting during my time at Lehigh.

What aspirations do you have for your Lehigh career and beyond?

In the future, I hope to continue to utilize my business degree to make an impact in the retail industry! As I gain more knowledge and experience, I would love to focus on the retail industry’s impact on sustainability and discover new initiatives to help companies offset their environmental footprint. The Earth & Environmental Sciences program, as well as the Office of Sustainability, has had a profoundly positive impact on my time at Lehigh. The faculty and staff in these offices have helped me discover how I can apply my business acumen to a bigger picture and help make our world a better place.

A message from Emma:

Thank you so much for your commitment to Lehigh University and for your support of my education! Without donors like you, the financial impact of attending an institution that is of the Lehigh caliber would make my college experience difficult. With your generosity, I can focus on studying and participating in extracurriculars without the added stress of additional student loans. I hope to one day give back to my fellow Lehigh alumni in the way that you have. Thank you!
